I am a UX designer with communication and art history background interested in different cultures. As a person with research and teaching background I am passionate about making things easy and understandable. Having such diverse background gives me an ability to consider the problems from different viewpoints and create intuitive and easy to navigate solutions that help people and businesses advance their goals.
Art History to Design
Communication Studies to Design
I have an art history past working in an art museum and art non-profits. I believe art history taught me a lot about processing large amounts of information and presenting it to the public in a digestible and engaging way.
- I gave guided tours to all sorts of people and had to cater the information to their needs.
- I developed an appreciation for "white space". I think it is important to give the information enough space. Depending on the content, space, like silence, can make things speak louder.
I am passionate about communication. I believe that you can learn a lot by listening to other people and learning about other cultures.
- rhetoric can teach us a lot about communication patterns.
- learning about other cultures can make us more flexible.
On a personal note...
I love baking cakes and making desserts and love to use friends' birthdays as an occasion to flex my skills. I even baked a wedding cake for my friends before.
I design beaded and wire jewelry when I have time. Sometimes I get a little too artsy with it but, hopefully, there is still a person somewhere out there who would like to wear my lizard necklace.
